Junebug Harlow✳
Star Sphere detail — pale points scattered on deep navy, from the studio wall

Illustrator, systems thinker, professional dot-placer.

I’m Junebug Harlow — an independent illustrator and generative artist working from a daylight studio in Bergen, Norway. My work lives where drawing meets code: hand-sketched grids finished as plotted editions, pattern systems licensed to brands, and the occasional wall that needed better weather.

Before the studio, I spent eight years as an editorial designer, which is why every piece here is built to survive contact with reality — book covers, packaging, wayfinding, rooms full of people. Pretty is table stakes; useful is the job.

Services Editorial illustration — covers, spots and series for print and digital. Generative identity — pattern systems and motifs that scale from favicon to facade. Murals & walls — site-specific seeds plotted at architectural scale. Print editions — signed runs for collectors and gift-givers.
Selected clients Fjord Press · Northline Studio · Galleri Mørkt · Kartverkstedet · Bergen Light Festival · Papirhuset
Process Pencil first, code second, paper always. Every commission starts in the sketchbook, gets systematised on screen, and is proofed on the final stock before anything ships.
Studio Bergen, Norway — visits by appointment. Plotting nights vary; the kettle is always on.
01

Sketch

You describe the wall, the book or the brand. I fill pages until the idea shows itself.

02

System

The sketch becomes a rule-set you can see develop — seeds, proofs, revisions, all shared.

03

Ship

Proofed on final stock, editioned, signed and delivered — framed, plotted or installed.

“Junebug turns a vague brief into a system with a heartbeat. The work arrives on time, on stock, and better than the sketch promised.” — Ingrid Solberg, art director, Fjord Press
